Mindtrek Academic Conference 2014

In November we attended the 3 day International Mindtrek Academic Conference in Tampere, Finland. Graham delivered a speed paper and presented a poster focusing on co_LAB Project 1, and discussed our work with fellow academics and international conference attendants from across the media spectrum.

The long paper entitled – Social media and collaborative learning: hello Scholr co-Authored by the whole co_LAB team, was delivered by Richard, with Graham present to lead the Q&A afterwards.

The purpose of  ‘Academic MindTrek conference’ is to provide a platform for academicians, researchers and professionals from the industry to put forward ideas and interpretations regarding the development of Internet, interactive media, and the information society.

The conference is hosted annually since 1997 & consists of unique events like competitions, plenary sessions, media festivals, and workshops. It is a meeting place for experts and thinkers to present results from their latest work regarding the development of Internet, interactive media & the information society.
